EVOKE! 2: Bus Stop Light Pull Cord, Waterloo, London. 14/3/2010

The Second installment of the series, The Bus Light Pull Cord, was a very simple intervention to that demonstrates peoples reaction to the subtly out of context within the public urban environment of the City of London. This human experiment somewhat was created to playfully cause passers by to do a double take, baffling them at first then causing them to rethink their relationship with the urban environment. This was done simply by Installing a Ceiling mounted pull cord light switch to a bus shelter in the evening, once the switch less automatic light had turned on. What if we did have the power to turn public lights on and off just like we do in our homes? How would you expect people to react to this Pull Cord?

Watch the video documentation below to find out.
